I really should be going to be about now, but don't really feel like sleeping. Spent the weekend in atlanta visiting Waldo and crew at 672 Bonaventure. Goodass times were had by all. if you are in the east Atlanta area, check out Heaping Bowls for a lot of food and PBR for not a lot of dough - good for young overworked 20 somethings.

the picture below was snapped looking at houses in east Atlanta - i kid you not, those two were waiting at the light side by side. Incredible. the other pic is an old warehouse currently occupied by these folks and used for housing about 300 homeless. It would make a dandy community center, or a sweet place for loft apartments. Anyone interested in developing places like it should call me - I've got some great ideas cooked up.

plans for other apartments were foiled by rich men who move fast for Waldo and I, but we did find some other cool brick buildings that would work really well for Lofts and other mixed use developments. one of them was for sale, and i will try to get the number and see how much it is. Until then, just paypal me shatloads of cash and I will try to get your money back.

Bought a sweet book by this rich ass and believe it or not, there is a ton of good info there on tax liens, and the like. check it out if you get a chance. I am fired up about making some cash - the ghetto is fun, but I want to get back to europe here for a little bit, and I definetly want to get down under soon as well.

hmmm, other updates. Little sis Susan is doing well being a longhorn, grandma is recovering from her surgery well, Lily is headed back to Jackson for her spring break . Kirsten just called me out of the blue, and Sara and I are "taking a break"
I really gotta go to bed now...
holla.

House Update - realtor emailed, and here it is:

Hey Darwin:
I checked with Susan today regarding the legal issues surrounding Orrs Ct. After talking with Mr. Pyatt, she indicated that the titlework has been cleared but the process of quieting the title still remains. That means advertising for three weeks and going to court. He seems to think it will be no longer than another two months (worst case scenario).
Glad to hear you have things covered on your end.
Let me know if you have additional questions and I will try and find answers.
Thank you for being so patient with this.
Regards, Judy

Man, I am going to write a book one day about all the people i have met. Spent the last two nights bartending at 11 Center Street - local wine bar where I weekend. They don't have their website up yet - any of you young aspiring web designers should call them. 843.588.9898 (ask for gretchen)

So, one of the first characters in the book is Elvis, the mustached (sp?), harley riding, softspoken, tan dude with a taste for Les Setilles, a french chardonnay with a nice burst of fruit. Elvis is a walking, talking dichotomy and a really nice guy. He sits at my bar and tells me about all the waitresses. Amazing. Alongside elvis is Heather, a harvard educated neurologist who dips copenhagen snuff, has had research projects published in US News and World report, and loves Steele Chard She is always in the company of several other interesing characters, but I can't give evverything away or the book won't sell.

another chapter is going to cover my construction experiences here in SC. I enjoy the work about 80% of the time, and the other 20% I try to learn a lot from. When you work with guys named, Ra-Ra, Booby, Speedy, Scooter and FNG (Fu&%$*ing New Guy), you aquire a lot of stories. I could write another book about what NOT to do, just based on my time there.

pic above is an old house in harleston village - I really want to renovate it, but i need half a million in cash to do it - you should make some back, so if you are interested, call me @ 911, extension 2 - ask for darwin until then, take it easy. And if its easy, take it twice, and if its still good after that - Call me.

gotta love the little sisters
good weekend - got dragged to a latin club last night at 1 am - I lack the vocabulary and eloquence to accuratly describe this. If you are that curious, just go to the riverfront at 360 Concord Street and hit the Tucan Reef. Bring extra hair gel, gold chains, and your spanish-english dictionary.

Oh damn, what a week. thursday night, and I can't even make it to the gym. Got some great stuff today. Photo below (kinda small I know) has a hilarious sign in the middle of it. Apparently this is a real sign from Moss Point.
Anyway, the new jibjab flick is out - good, but nothing like the last one. this sweet link was sent in by drew vann (thanks dude) and is about the funniest thing I have ever seen.

So right now, I am looking for a roommate. After these fools wanted 165 bucks for an ad, I went here and have had a lot of luck. Anyone looking for a roommate, use them for sure. Its 20 bucks for a month membership, and very worth it. (Waldo - are you listening??) Now, I have to decide whether to live with a mortgage broker or a project superindendant - hmmm.

the house is going through, and should be in my hands come april - booyah bob. took about a year, but dammit, I am going to do this. anyone who wants an unpaid renovation internship worth 750 credit hours at any ivy league school should drop me an email. Courses include foundation digging 101, a cultural exchange program for dumb white yard bunnies which will be titled "how I learned to stop hatin' and love the nnnnnnnatives", and a graduate program in how to annoy your awful neighbors. OK, I gotta stop now before I say something bad.

once i get the place, I will be renovating it, moving in, getting a dog, and applying to law school. I found an accredited program in San Juan PR - I think that might be the one. Beaches, senoritas, surfing, and being able to ride my road bike around the island - whooohoooo. Will be vacationing here and might be taking visitors.
