So,
business travel has its perks. I am here in the lovely Hotel Convencion here in the heart of Madrid, and have had a blast so far. It is so damn good to be back in spain its not even funny. I might come home, but its not looking good so far.
Spent most of the day running a JCB (like a bobcat, but with a backhoe on the rear part. after a day on that thing, I am still vibrating like an abused lab rat, but can drive the hell out of it. Got a couple sweet pictures which I will be sure to post as soon as Mike gets them to me.
going to dinner tonight with our host Ignacio of greenland golf of madrid to a local paella joint which promises to be a great time. Tomorrow, we are going to rent a car and drive up to Segovia to have a colchinillo (roast suckling pig, which is so tender that the restaurant cuts it with the edge of a plate. Yikes!) if you need help with the translations, click here, but dont use it for your spainish homework.
Should be here for around two weeks, and will be drinking coffee like a beast to take advantage of every minute. Met one of Ignacio's friends last night who is a marketing director for the Vuelta De Espana, and says can get me tickets to the event. HMMMMM. Anyone in?? Dad?? Tickets???
The hora de cena is approching, and I am out to go hurt a paella. Pics as soon as I get them.
