So I didn't get out of bed until 1300 today - I cannnot remember the last time I saw 430 AM, but i believe it was in this country a couple years ago. Yeah, definetly here. Got dragged to some discotheque here last night, and had the time of my life. Met a spanish stewardess, danced my ass off, and tried some local liquor that would strip barnacles off a destroyer. God knows what it does to spainiards, but it causes extremely stupid behavior when given to caucasians without rhythm. Yikes. Oh yeah, and I can't dance flamenco. Not at all.
Chuggging right along here in Madrid, and are in the last few days of the project. I am scheduled to leave on thursday, and will have to push fairly hard to get everything done in time for my departure.
Happenings back home: I had written an earnest money check for my house and left it for my realtor before I hopped on a plane, and a few days later I noticed that another previous check had been cashed. Not knowing what the hell was going on, I emailed to try and get a handle on things. I got back the best story of my life.
Email from realtor:

I am sorry I forgot to tell you about the check. When I got to your home,
there was a large tree on the two cars in your driveway, and the house as well.
At first I couldn't find the mail box, it had been knocked down by the tree and
was lying under some trees along the street. The check was not anywhere to be
found I searched up an down the street. Everything had been washed away. I
thought maybe your friend may have picked it up. I don't think anyone can cash
it, as you know it is all most impossible to get one cashed even if it made out
to the person holding the check. I had to have a check made out to Century 21."
What do you say to that?. At least she was nice enough to tell me my truck was OK.

A pair of japanese women just sat down next to me in the lobbby and are yelling in portuguese about the hotel. Gotta run.
